Burberry Scarves

I have recently learned how popular scarves really are. They look great with just about anything, and they keep you nice and warm during the winter. On my search for the perfect scarf, I found Burberry, and immediately fell in love. They have great winter apparel anyway, but these scarves really impressed me. You can wear them like a shawl, or you can simply wrap them around your neck.

These scarves are warm and fuzzy, while also managing to look gorgeous around the neck of just about anyone. Whether you decide to wear the scarf with a white turtle neck and jeans, or you decide to wear it to a party with a long sleeved dress and heels on, it will look good no matter what.

These scarves come in all shapes and sizes. Whether you want an extra long scarf, or a scarf that’s short and you can just throw around your neck, this brand has got it all, and they all look fabulous. There are tons of different patterns and colors to choose from, and, like I said, they are all gorgeous.

These scarves are perfect for any outfit, and any occasion, and I adore them, simply because they are comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Update Your “Classic” Linens

Jul 7, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

Linen has been around the block a millennia or two but today it seems mostly regulated to neutral colors. What color came to mind when you saw the word ‘linen’, taupe or white? True linen, made from flax, is one of the most durable fabrics that was originally worn in the most vibrant colors. It is time to bring color and current fashion trends back to your fabric. Whether on your table or in your closet, color is the way to go.

For Your Body

This summer is all about eco-friendly colors. Think gentle but lively. This year’s hues are soft greens, blues, pinks and corals with splashes of red. Just remember to choose colors that compliment your skin tone.

For Your Home

Keep in mind your home’s color scheme(s) when selecting a bed or table linen. Neutrals are great but sometimes you have to spice things up. Is your bedroom bland or in need of a focal point? A great bed linen can help tie a room together and bring serenity to your abode. You will not believe what it will do for your spirits much less your décor!

When looking for linens, think color!

Mary Jane Pumps

Jun 25, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

I know I can speak for most girls when I say that high heels are ridiculously hard to learn how to walk in. But one type of shoe that keeps me wanting to learn is the Mary Jane Pumps. I have always loved these shoes. Even though they can get ridiculously high, I still have always dreamed that one day, maybe, just maybe, I could walk in these with the poise and confidence of a supermodel on the catwalk.

Now, that may be impossible for someone like me: a klutz who can barely walk and talk at the same time. But I have seen people strut their stuff while wearing these pumps, and look fabulous while doing it too.

These shoes are, by far, my favorite high heels, because they are so adorable and come in so many different styles. And they are for just about every purpose. At work, they can look professional and classy, and after work, at the bar with friends, they can look cute and flirty.

Like all high heels, these shoes are probably going to take some breaking in and some practice, but hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to strut around the world in these shoes as well.

Can knitwear be worn by everybody?

Jun 24, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

Knitwear has charmed its way into the closets and wardrobes of women all over the world for decades, the soft texture of the fabric and the easiness in which it falls contouring the female figure exalting its attributes such as the bust line has made it a preferred fabric for most tops and sweaters.

But this is not the only use for this type of fabric. Dresses have been made with high success on the consuming market, especially women who are in their prime working years, a fit body or even a slightly overweighed one. In both these cases, the difference between looking mildly acceptable and looking fantastic lies on the color of the garment as well as the texture and materials in which it was knitted.

For the women that are not sure the right color palette that will go adequately with their skin and hair tones, there is always the choice of mix wear; using two different textures, fabrics or even colors in the top and bottom garments (for example, skirts) of their wardrobe will give them the opportunity to mix colors.

However, a big built woman should be aware that a skirt made of this type of fabric will cling tighter to a bulky bottom.

Super Stilettos

Jun 20, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

Remember when super-high heels were called stilettos? Yeah, well, in today’s super-size society, we’re seeing an increase in super-high stilettos. It’s been decided this evolution of stilettos deserves a category all their own, akin to super cars and supermodels. Let me introduce you, if you haven’t met, to the super stilettos.

Gwyneth Paltrow has been spotted all over in variations of the super stiletto, going as high as six and seven inches. Six and seven inch skinny heels! It’s reported she required an assistant to lean on when she wasn’t standing still. How cool can that look? It’s one thing to push the envelope and indulge in some trends; quite another to require physical support from another person to actually pull off the look. I mean, didn’t we give up on having women get laced into their corsets by their mothers around the time that the Titanic sunk?

Super stilettos have been produced by numerous footwear companies. Some of the super stilettos featured recently on celebs have been from Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, and Giuseppe Zanotti.

Barbaric and uncomfortable as it is, we are here to report on the trends. If you find yourself drawn to these heels, you’re not alone. Just make sure you save some money for some chiropractic adjustments after you suffer for fashion!

Save The Earth Shirts

Jun 14, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: Shirts

I’ve noticed that nowadays, more people are beginning to care about the earth. Whether they are speaking about global warming, or just recycling, many people are trying to do a better job to keep our planet healthy and clean for as long as possible.

But recently, there is a new way to show off how much you care about our planet: “Save the Earth” Shirts. These shirts are stylish and fashionable, while also being comfortable. Wearing any types of theses shirts helps to show off your love for your planet. Often times, when you buy one of these shirts, the company who you buy them from makes a donation to Global Warming or an Earth or Animal Foundation.

Save the Earth Shirts have great designs. From slogans like “I feel warm,” which promotes Global Warming Awareness, to shirts that state, “Think Green,” and simply promote keeping our planet as clean and great as we can.

These designs come in not only shirts, but a ton of other things as well. You can buy a button with these slogans on it, or a magnet, or a sticker. And the shirts come in all different sizes, such as tank tops, cap sleeves, and long sleeved shirts. These shirts can be worn any time of the year, which is great because we should always be promoting our pride for our planet.

These Best Friends Never Go Out of Style

Jun 11, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

It’s that time of the year, Ladies! Wedding season is revving up and will move into full swing next month. Behold the glory of the gorgeous wedding dresses, the handsome men in tuxes, the bridesmaid dresses that may or may not look okay now, but will probably be as embarrassing as your old prom dress some day. The gorgeous decorations are exciting, no matter what sort of location the bride and groom choose—indoor, outdoor, under the sea?

But what everyone’s always interested in when they first hear about betrothed couples are the diamond engagement rings. Engaged women quickly get used to flashing their sparkling left ring finger to admirers. Celebrities, especially, with their (usually) enormous baubles, get used to posing so that cameras can catch the light off their diamonds.

If you’re not yet engaged or married, do you ever dream of this small but very significant lifetime accessory? What’s your dream engagement ring—1 or 2 carat diamonds? Gold, white gold, silver, or platinum setting and bands? What about something more unusual like a Russian or UK engagement rings? Or what about colored diamonds instead of the traditional white diamonds?

Sparkle, glitter, and shine—diamonds really are a girl’s best friend!

Swatch Watches

May 26, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: Accessories

Remember Swatch? When I was a pre-teen and well into my teen years, Swatch watches were THE item we all had to have. The colorful, fun, and funky prints on these plastic watches seemed to come in a limitless variety. Even the jelly watch guards that covered most of the watch face became trendy. Having at least two guards in contrasting colors was very cool.

Even the trends within the Swatch watch era were different from when I was a young teen until I was an older teen (at which point I think Fossil watches took over as the uber cool watch statement). When I was younger, POP Swatches were huge along the lines of a chunky cuff bracelet. The bands were made out of stretch elastic that used to leave my skin feeling compressed and sweaty. Suffering for fashion never goes out of style!

Ah, nostalgia! But low and behold, it seems Swatch is coming back. Okay, so maybe it never really left for some of us. The Spring/Summer 2008 Swatch collection seems to be marketed towards an older demographic—perhaps those of us who were teens when the first Swatch craze hit. The new pieces incorporate chunky links of metal and some bright colors but also some more neutral varieties to go with more pieces in your wardrobe. Even the ads are impressive—much more high fashion that teen magazine.

Men’s Clothes Are No Longer Just For Men

May 18, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

The days of long skirts and button down blouses are gone. Women are wanting now more than anything to be comfortable. The women of today work hard all day long in their business suits and high heel shoes. But we all know that women are at their most comfortable when they are lounging around in their boyfriends old gym shirt.

Let us start at the most intimate level of comfort, our underwear. Now women’s underwear comes in a wide variety of shapes and fashions. There are the high cut briefs, the bikini briefs, the ever popular thong and even more still. There are also many fabrics from which to choose, satin, silk, lace cotton, and more. One of the most popular styles of underwear today are known as “boy shorts.” Some fashion guru noticed that women were more steering towards the more comfortable mens underwear, so they stuck some lace on a few pairs and called them boy shorts for women.

Polo Shirts are another style that can be worn by both men and women. What was once a style just for men, is rapidly growing in popularity with women. Women are wearing them to work and play. Whether you are on your way to a casual lunch or to play a round of tennis, this style will surely please you.

Last but not least, perhaps the most comfortable article of clothing you will ever own is a great pair of boxer shorts. They can be worn with or without anything underneath. They can be worn under your clothes or by their self. They are cooler and more comfortable when lounging around than sweats.

So when you feel like slipping into something a little more comfortable, you may want to check his closet.
