Designing The Bedroom

Continuing on with our interior fashion design theme, we now turn to the bedroom. The bedroom is where you will spend around half of your day (more so in my case, I like to sleep, a lot), so it should be paid a lot of attention. The main feature of your bedroom is obviously your bed, so that is what needs to be concentrated on the most. Of course, there are a huge amount of duvets, quilts and covers on the market, so you’re really going to need to shop around to find one that matches the rest of your room. In my mind, it’s good to have a contrasting quilt to your walls / carpet, too much blending doesn’t quite work, especially if you have matching carpets and wallpaper.

One particular quilt I have found extremely fashionable in 2008 are the victorian heart quilts. There quilts come in fantastic colours to match any styled room and have just enough detailing on them to match the most plain or detailed bedroom. Each time I seem to pick one of my women’s magazines up these days, within the first 5 or so pages there is an article on weight loss. Normally a story of how a woman has lost 40lbs on this diet or how another woman has lost 50lbs using this exercise regime. This is extremely tiring. By now, most of us know what food we need to eat in order to get slim and we certainly know the work we have to put in down at the gym to stay slim and fit. Do we really need all these articles showing us pictures of gorgeous, slim women who just happened to have the genetics and body type capable of losing weight quickly? With all the vastly varying dieting options out there, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to tell exactly what is the best diet and which weight loss products / regimes really do work, more to the point, which plan will work for me? When is someone going to come up with an alternative weight loss program which will work for ALL women, not involve running 5 miles a day and living off salad. I live in hope!
