Celebrity Perfect Hair at Home

Feb 24, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

How many times have you flipped through the magazines in the check out aisle and wished you could have beautifully straightened hair like Paris Hilton and Victoria Beckham? Well now you do not have to pay the big celebrity salon prices to get the hairstyle that will make people swear you are a celebrity.

All you need to get perfectly straight hair is a ceramic flat iron. No more combing and drying and combing and crying. The flat iron will do it all for you. Other flat irons could cost as much as $400, but the Hana Elite flat iron is less than half the price of any other flat iron. The Chi flat iron is popular among some as well.

The Hana Elite is made out of 100% ceramic. The Hana Elite ceramic flat iron is made with black ceramic that will never discolor. Any other flat iron would be made out of aluminum plates. The Hana Elite is the smoothest and most durable ceramic flat iron available. This innovative design can never be peeled or scratched.

A ceramic flat iron is no good if it does not have a state of the art ceramic heater. The integrated heaters on the Hana Elite cover more than two times the area of the competitor’s flat iron.

80s Retro Fun or Boring Re-run?

Feb 9, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

Whether you like it or not, the 80s fashion trends keep on showing up. If you lived through the 80s fashions the first time around, you may have thought (like me!) that surely these trends would NEVER come back. Who, in their right minds, would want to go back to sky-high mall bangs, jelly bracelets from wrist to elbow, and socks over leggings or stirrup pants? And yet, as they say, fashion trends always come back. Perhaps the come-back trends will only be popular with those who didn’t love through the original era. Yet, you may be surprised to find yourself drawn to some of the 80s retro looks and not even realize it! You know those Croc and Croc-like shoes that have been popping up the last couple of years? Don’t they remind you of anything? Jelly shoes that came in dozens of colors and weren’t even comfortable? At least this version is comfy, though definitely as weirdly ugly-cute as the original jelly shoes. Another place to look for 80s trends is the quietly popular American Apparel. Not only are they bringing back those shirts that change color with your body temperature, but they also bought out an old surplus of chunky gold jewelry. You remember those chunky chain link bracelets that were all the rage? Yep, they’ve got them. Only now it seems a far more tacky trend that hot and chic. No matter, hold on to whatever fashion mistakes you think you’ve made because some day you may be paying twice as much for the re-run looks!

Super Stilettos

Feb 8, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: General Fashion

Remember when super-high heels were called stilettos? Yeah, well, in today’s super-size society, we’re seeing an increase in super-high stilettos. It’s been decided this evolution of stilettos deserves a category all their own, akin to super cars and supermodels. Let me introduce you, if you haven’t met, to the super stilettos.

Gwyneth Paltrow has been spotted all over in variations of the super stiletto, going as high as six and seven inches. Six and seven inch skinny heels! It’s reported she required an assistant to lean on when she wasn’t standing still. How cool can that look? It’s one thing to push the envelope and indulge in some trends; quite another to require physical support from another person to actually pull off the look. I mean, didn’t we give up on having women get laced into their corsets by their mothers around the time that the Titanic sunk?

Super stilettos have been produced by numerous footwear companies. Some of the super stilettos featured recently on celebs have been from Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, and Giuseppe Zanotti.

Barbaric and uncomfortable as it is, we are here to report on the trends. If you find yourself drawn to these heels, you’re not alone. Just make sure you save some money for some chiropractic adjustments after you suffer for fashion!

It’s that time of the year, Ladies! Wedding season is revving up and will move into full swing next month. Behold the glory of the gorgeous wedding dresses, the handsome men in tuxes, the bridesmaid dresses that may or may not look okay now, but will probably be as embarrassing as your old prom dress some day. The gorgeous decorations are exciting, no matter what sort of location the bride and groom choose—indoor, outdoor, under the sea?

But what everyone’s always interested in when they first hear about betrothed couples are the diamond engagement rings. Engaged women quickly get used to flashing their sparkling left ring finger to admirers. Celebrities, especially, with their (usually) enormous baubles, get used to posing so that cameras can catch the light off their diamonds.

If you’re not yet engaged or married, do you ever dream of this small but very significant lifetime accessory? What’s your dream engagement ring—1 or 2 carat diamonds? Gold, white gold, silver, or platinum setting and bands? What about something more unusual like a Russian or UK engagement rings? Or what about colored diamonds instead of the traditional white diamonds?

Sparkle, glitter, and shine—diamonds really are a girl’s best friend!
